Track Fastening Systems
Complete fastening assemblies — rail clip, liner, rail pad, base plate or spikes or shoulders, nuts, and bolts — designed and manufactured for conventional, freight, high-speed, semi-high-speed, and metro rail.
Beyond complete sets, Holdwell designs, manufactures, and supplies individual fastening components to a client's own specification — see the full component range below.
Fastening Components
Our wide range of product offerings include different types of rail clips, rail pads, base plates, liners and insulators, and other custom assemblies and components — as per client's needs and requirements.
Rail Clips
Hot-forged from spring steel for consistent elastic properties and uniform microstructure.
Rail Pads
Elastomeric components placed between rail and sleeper, engineered for vibration attenuation and resilience that extends sleeper and rail life.
Dowels
The anchoring base for the rail, manufactured from premium polyamide and polyethylene, cylindrically shaped with internal and external threading.
Liners & Angular Guide Plates
Provide a snug fit between the rail toe and the rail clip, and — in circuited track — a key insulation role.
Base Plates & Tie Plates
Manufactured through Holdwell's own in-house rolling mill for tighter quality control over the finished product.
Fixings & Hardware
Spikes, shoulders, coach screws, nuts and bolts — supplied to complete any fastening assembly.
Railway Track Infrastructure
Laying, maintaining, repairing, and overhauling railway track requires a range of individual and integral components. Holdwell manufactures the full track superstructure below.
Switches & Turnouts
The track structure that permits movement between tracks, raising system capacity and forming the basis of network expansion.
Steel, Channel & H-Beam Sleepers
Customised across gauge, axle load, and drawing — from metre-gauge railways to mainline passenger and heavy-haul freight routes.
Fish Plates
Specially rolled sections that join rail ends, maintaining line and level at the joint and resisting impact and deflection with the help of closely spaced sleeper support.
Glued Expansion Joints
Bifurcate track circuits both physically and electrically in interlocked yards, with the mechanical strength to retain insulation and withstand rail creep — most commonly used with Long Welded Rails.
Rubberised Level Crossings
Delivered through Holdwell's partnership with STRAIL (Germany), a level-crossing systems specialist proven since 1976 and installed in more than 50 countries. The system replaces asphalt or concrete-paver crossings — historically an expensive and recurring maintenance cost — with a "fit and forget" rubber panel system that opens and reseats with minimal effort.
The premium, heavy-duty system for main arteries, with a lock-tight modular panel design.
An economical system for medium-to-high loads, independent of sleeper spacing.
Lightweight, purpose-built for pedestrian and cycle paths, station crossings, and tunnel escape routes.
An anti-trespass panel using irregular pyramid peaks to deter track access at sensitive locations.
Rolling Stock Components
ICF-approved manufacturing and supply of rolling stock components — engineered to the same compounding standard as Holdwell's track-side products, supporting safe, low-maintenance coach operation.
ICF APPROVEDIncludes bogie frames, air springs, and locomotive components.

How to Specify a Component
Most of Holdwell's catalogue ships to Indian Railways, RDSO, or DMRC specification as standard. For a non-standard application, the engineering team works from a client's drawing or performance requirement through to a tested, produced component.
Share a drawing or requirement
Send your existing drawing, or describe the performance the component needs to meet.
Engineering review
Our in-house design engineers assess fit against gauge, axle load, and application — conventional, freight, high-speed, or metro.
Tested, produced component
The component is produced and tested in-house before dispatch, to Indian Railways, RDSO, or DMRC specification as required.
